Yanam Beach

Located in close proximity to the River Godavari is a picturesque and pristine beach known as Yanam Beach. This beautiful beach is situated in a small town called Yanam in Puducherry. Apparently, this beach was a French colony during the British Raj and was only returned back to India in 1954. As a result of the strong French influence, many relics belonging to the French culture can still be observed around this beach. In addition, several parts of this beach are under the state of Andhra Pradesh. It is situated at a distance of 45 km (via NH16 and NH32)
